Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is a unique
global public-private partnership dedicated to attracting and
disbursing additional resources to prevent and treat AIDS,
tuberculosis and malaria. This partnership between governments, civil

approach to international health financing. The Fund works in close
collaboration with other bilateral and multilateral organizations to
supplement existing efforts dealing with the three diseases.
Since 2001, the Global Fund has
attracted US$ 4.7 billion in financing through 2008. In its first two
rounds of grant-making, it has committed US $ 1.5 billion in funding
to support 154 programs in 93 countries worldwide
